5 January 1799 (1) Michael Laws of Sunderland near the sea, gentleman (2) William Wilkinson the elder of Bishop Wearmouth, mason (3) William Harrop of Hetton, pa. Houghton-le-Spring, Gentleman Cooper Abbs of Monkwearmouth, Clerk Deed of Covenant that (2) will repay £200 secured on a parcel of copyhold ground and buildings in Bishop Wearmouth bounded by a newly erected messuage belonging to William Garbutt to the east, another newly erected messuage belonging to (2) to the west, the King's High Street to the North and an intended street called Middle Street to the South, to give to William Harrop, with interest of £5 per hundred, with several covenants including that (2) must insure against fire, consideration:£200 from William Harrop to (2)
