Catalogue Description

Barnard Castle Parish Church

'Barnard Castle Parish Records' were collected by E.R. Hanby Holmes as churchwarden of St. Mary's Church, Barnard Castle, secretary of the Parochial Church Council, and a member of the Ancient Select Vestry and various sub-committees. The papers mainly cover the period 1928 - c.1950, but Mission Hall records of an earlier period (1886 - 1914) are also included. These appear to have been collected by H.C. Watson as a trustee.

These records include a copy or copies of information dating back to 1792.
