During a National Period of Mourning for ten days following her death, Durham County Council placed Books of Condolence across County Durham
King Charles III was proclaimed King in Durham Market Place, September 2022
Condolence cards and tributes were placed in the various locations around County Durham where books of condolence were available. A sample has been retained (many had been spoiled by the weather and could not be preserved).
