Register of baptisms of the Ireshopeburn to Presbyterian Congregation, 9 October, 1785 to 12 March 1822. A number of entries also give dates of birth. Most of the baptisms were performed by the resident minister, Robert Somerville, but towards the end of the register, the names of visiting ministers appear - in 1803 and 1810 - William Norris, Minister at Garrigill, Cumberland and later Alston in Cumberland and Ellenthrop in Yorkshire; Rev. John Slale of Wask, Northumberland in 1805 and James Scott, Minister at Parkhead, Cumberland, in 1807. At the back of the volume are lists of birth dates of certain families, namely the Gibsons, 1793 - 1812; Thomas Broadwood's children 1785 -1806; James and Hannah Ellot's children, 1783 - 1802; John and Susannah Oliver's children 1766 - 1788; James Carrick's children, 1776 - 1787; Thomas Emmerson's children, 1774 - 1784; and John Elliot's children, 1774 - 1784. Enfolded are three pages torn from a notebook, containing the entries from the first few pages of the register. This may have formed part of an original register.
