Catalogue Description

Information from the donor:

"When my Mother started at St Hilda's, Miss Guest was the Headmistress of the infant part of the School and Mr Tate was the Headmaster of the junior part. Mr Tate had replaced Mr Parker who had retired (Mr Parker was also a Magistrate).
My Mother's Brothers also attended St Hilda's, Frederick Gerowski (born in 1921 so would have started most likely in 1926) and Richard Thompson Crutwell Gerowski (born in 1928 so most likely started in 1933).
Frederick Gerowski would have completed all his schooling at St Hilda's, my Mother spent the last 3 months of her school days at a new school that had opened on Ocean Road. Richard Gerowoski would have split his school days between St Hilda's and the new Ocean Road School.
My Mother's Mother (my Grandmother) Ann(ie?) Hammer Finnigan, also attended St Hilda's, probably starting most likely in 1909 as she was born in 1904."
