Unwin v Simpson is a standard prosecution for trespass in pursuit of game. It leads, however, to Simpson v Unwin in a vexatious game prosecution. Unwin, who is qualified to shoot, is the tenant of Lartington. Simpson is trying to get back at him in the narrow wording of an Act of George II whereby possession of game out of season may be construed as an offence.
