Catalogue Description
Low Team, St Paul was created as a parish in 1871, from the parish of Gateshead, St Cuthbert.In 1982 the church was demolished and it combined with the parish of Gateshead, St Cuthbert.
On 1 March 1991 St Cuthbert's Church was closed and declared redundant and a new parish of Bensham was created, uniting with Bensham, St Chad (see EP/Ga.SCh). At first baptisms were carried out in St Cuthbert's School.
