Bowburn Methodist Church
In 1964 Bowburn Methodist Church was formed from the two existing societies of Bowburn Central and Bowburn Durham Road, using the former's premises for worship and the latter's for Sunday school work. In 1969 the church at Durham Road was sold with Sunday school activities continuing in the adjoining schoolroom and premises.

In 1954 the amalgamation took place of the three churches in Langley Moor, High Street South, Rehoboth and the Boyne, to form the Langley Moor Methodist Church. The premises at the Boyne were retained while High Street South and Rehoboth were sold in 1958.
