13 May 1708 (1) John Helcoate of West Thickley, yeoman, and William Helcoate of Windgate Grange, yeoman (2) Peter Walker of Trimdon, weaver Assignment for residue of a term of 1000 years, of lease of house, bakehouse and garth in Trimdon with right to water cattle at Howlegate Consideration: £10 Recites: (a) Lease for 1000 years at an annual rent of 8s., 12 June 1616, from Humphrey Wharton of Gilling, Co. York, gentleman, and Thomas Wharton, his son, to Thomas Helcoate of Trimdon, of house and garth with right to water cattle as above; with endorsement that T.H. was permitted to build a bakehouse on the street in front of the house (b) that T.H. now dead and the title to the property now vested in (1)
