Catalogue Description
Norman Richard Rice was born in 1913 in Dulwich.He worked as a senior engineer for the Department of Transport, advising county engineers on street lighting. This work took him all over the country and he would often take photographs while visiting an area.
Later, he worked checking the safety of half barrier level crossings, which again took him across the country.
He retired in December 1976 and died in 1995.
