Catalogue Description

Darlington Technical College, Pupil Teacher Centre

The centre was set up at the Technical College in 1900 to prepare pupil teachers for the Queen's Scholarship Examinations. Those who were highly placed secured a place in the Training College. The centre was closed and pupils transferred to High School and Grammar School in 1908.
