Catalogue Description

Shotton Colliery Council Junior Boys School

Shotton Council Junior Mixed School opened in 1916, but, on 24 August 1926, the boys were transferred to a temporary school at St. Saviour's Hall, Front Street, Shotton, which became a separate Junior Boys School. The school moved again on 1 January 1940, to the old Senior Boys School on East Street, Shotton. The school closed on 13 March 1964, when the new Shotton Colliery Council Junior Mixed School opened.
