The Bethel New Connexion Chapel, North Road, Durham was opened in 1854 and the Jubilee Primitive Methodist Chapel, North Road, Durham was opened in 1861. In 1961 the two churches were amalgamated when the Jubilee Chapel was demolished. The former Bethel Chapel is now known as the North Road Methodist Church.
