2 February 1870 (1) Arthur Wombwell of York, Brevet Lieutenant Colonel (2) Rosa Duncombe Shafto of Whitworth park, spinster (3) Robert Duncombe Shafto of Whitworth park, John Eden Duncombe Shafto of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, esq, Barrister-at-Law, and Adolphus Wick Wombwell, Major in the 12th Lancers Settlement on the marriage of (1) and (2) being an assignment by (2) to (3) of her 2/5th share in the outstanding residuary estate of William Charles Harlam, late of Sutton Hall, Yorkshire, deceased, to hold in trust for (2) for her seperate use. Assignment by (2) to (3) of £2,000, £2,000, £1,790 and £721. 7s. 6d. and assignment by (1) to (3) of £3,290 East India Railway Stock, £2,000 and £2,500 Russian Railway Bonds, £3,300 New South Wales Government Bonds and £1,800 Norwegian Trunk Preference Stock, together forming the Wombwell Trust Fund, to hold in trust,the interest from each to the seperate use of (1) and (2) during their lives, thence to the use of the survivor of them, thence to the use of the children of the marriage and of subsequent marriages, thence to whomsoever (1) and (2) shall appoint. Covenant of (1) to make up any deficiency in his stocks below value of £10,000 at the time of his death. Recites will of William Charles Harlam, deceased, 27 September 1861

James Gordon Crowdy, Precentor of Winchester Cathedral, clerk (4) Adolphus Wick Wombwell, Frederick Augustus Thesiger, James Gordon Crowdy Appointment of (3) by (1) as new trustees of their marriage settlement. Declaration that (4) shall hold the trust funds specified in annexed schedule
