2 August 1843 (1) John Lodge of Askrigg, Yorkshire, surgeon (2) Margaret Copeland of Staindrop, spinster (3) William Copeland of Barnard Castle, surgeon (4) Richard Jefferson of The Lendings, Startforth, Yorkshire, gentleman and Robert Lodge jnr,of Manchester, merchant Settlement prior to the marriage of (1) and (2) being a covenant by (3) to pay £1,400 to (4), the aggregate ammount of sums secured by promissory notes with interest within 12 months of the marriage, to hold in trust for (2) until her marriage, then to invest in Parliamentary Stocks paying the interest thereon to (2) for life, thence paying same to (1), after his death to hold in trust for the benefit of the children and grandchildren of (1) and (2), in trust for (3) if the marriage be barren or if (2) dies before attaining 25 years. Reciting that (2) is intitled as surviving sister of Eliza Copeland who died intestate to £333 6s 8d and also to a legacy of £1,000 under the will of her father Charles Copeland on reaching the age of 25

A., now principal of the Government College at Dacca in India and Catherine Parr Pears of Wingrove, Corbridge on Tyne, Northumberland, spinster (2) Alfred Pears Jobson Archbold of 79½ Gracechurch Street, London, shipbroker, W.A.J.A.; Mary Caroline Jobson formerly of Fenham House, Kent Road, Harrogate, but now of Middleton One Row, Durham, spinster; James Archbold Jobson of The Dell, Church Road, Upper Norwood, London, accountant; and Hugh George Jobson of 78, Church Street, West Hartlepool, marine surveyor Conveyance by (1) to (2) of Nos. 33 and 58, Leazes Terrace No. 10 Albion Street, Nos. 1,2,6 and 8 Wilkinsons Buildings, all at Newcastle, 3 farms called Street House, Clickemin Farm (with adjoining refreshment bungalow) and Eland Farm, all near Ponteland, Northumberland, being the premises remaining unsold under the devise of the trust real estates under the recited will of James Archbold Pear: Archbold late of Shotley Lodge, Esq., dated 22 July 1882, and the residue of the Wingrove and Fenham Estates.
