Papers relating to William Garraway of Tow Law

William Garraway was born at Lanchester in 1849. He married Elizabeth Willey of Wolsingham and lived at 100 High Street, Tow Law. William, a landlord, rent collector and councillor, was appointed as Inspector of Nuisances, 7 January 1874, by the Tow Law Local Board and as School Attendance Officer by the Weardale Union, 26 June 1877, for the Tow Law District. He died in 1928
