9 February 1809 (1) Dorothy Collyer of Queen Square, Middlesex, widow (formerly Dorothy Nicholson, god-daughter and devisee in the will of Dorothy Nicholson, late of Hurworth, widow, deceased) (2) James Nicholson Collyer of Queen Square, Middlesex, eldest son and heir of (1) (3) John Griffith of the city of Durham, gent. (4) James Willis of Warnford Court, city of London, gent. Release (lease missing) by (1) and (2) to make (3) a tenant to the precipe for suffering a recovery of land in Hurworth and Darlington as follows: a messuage or dwelling house with a parcel of land, commonly called the orchard and garden in Hurworth; one close or parcel of ground commonly called Patman Garth in Hurworth; one close or parcel of ground called Ring on the south side of the town of Hurworth; one messuage, burgage, house or tenement in the town of Hurworth with the Garth on the east side; a messuage, tenement and dwelling house in Hurworth with the garth adjoining, bounding on the parsonage house and garth on the west; a messuage or dwelling house in Nelgate, Hurworth; several closes or parcels of ground formerly in 8 closes, but now 10 closes, called Jackson's Field, East Old Pasture, West Old Pasture, Barnfield, East Barnfield, North Barnfield, Schoolmaster's Close, Hatter's Close, Far Curbest, Near Curbest, containing 67 acres, 3 woods and 31 parks with a barn and stable buildings, all in Hurworth; burgages or tenements, garth, garden, orchard and stables in Prebend Row, Darlington
