Plan of window in the church of South Shields, St. Stephen (Ref: D/X 1452/1)

Anthony Day (born 11 June 1876, baptised 30 July 1876, son of Anthony and Jane; married Jane Stewart, 1902, no children) was Chief Engineer on the ship Berrington, which was lost at sea en route to Rotterdam, Holland, 28 December 1904. Tradition in his family has it that there is a window in South Shields, St. Stephen, in his memory. The plan was found among the papers of Anthony Day's sister. It is possible that it is the plan of the window in memory of Anthony Day.

Ref: D/X 1452/1
