Catalogue Description

These postcards were collected by Esme and Leslie Howarth of 9 Riversdale Terrace, Sunderland. Esme married a Mr Dryden and moved to 13 Shirley Gardens, Sunderland, and Leslie moved to London. He was a well respected journalist, contributing articles to many regional and national publications.
Their grandfather, Mark Howarth, was a Sunderland builder who worked on Sunderland Empire among other projects.
