Local girl is hero in house fire, 1973 (Ref: NT/Ay 7/5/5/11)Ref: NT/Ay 7/5/5/11Contact sheet of 30 photographs from a local newspaper of local girl, Jacqueline Foster of Newton Aycliffe, meeting the actor Anita Harris at a the Theatre Royal, Newcastle. A caption that accompanies the photo states ' Little Jaqueline Foster of 73 Honister Place...is a very brave girl. When fire broke out at her home she raised the alarm and rescued her two cousins. On Staurday, Aycliffe Development Corporation took Jackie to the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, to see Peter Pan, as a reward for her bravery. And there was a fairy tale ending to the story. Star of the show, Anita Harris, called for attention at the end of the play and then introduces seven-years-old Jackie with a copy of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, on behalf of the Corporation. Then the star gave the little heroine a copy of her new L.P. record of songs from Peter Pan. Afterwards, Anita took Jackie backstage to meet all the stars of the show.', images are numbered from 1 to 6 from top left to top right, with the numbering pattern continuing down to 25 to 30 from bottom left to right, n.d.
