HMP Frankland is situated at Brasside and opened in 1980, the first chaplaincy journal [P/F/Chap 1/1] lists the first cell visits on 31 October 1980. It is a high-security men's prison. As of 2025 it housed about 850 prisoners in single cells across eight wings.Catalogue Contents
