Catalogue Description

Consett Grammar School

Formerly Consett Secondary School which opened in 1904 in association with Consett Technical Institute, it became Consett Grammar School in 1946 and amalgamated with Benfieldside Modern School in 1976 to form Blackfyne Comprehensive School. For records after 1976 see Blackfyne Comprehensive School.
