First World War memorial oak trees (Ref: E/W/G 165-166)

Oak trees were planted in 1918 in memory of the 'old boys' who lost their lives in the First World War. A memorial plaque was also created featuring their photographs.
In 2019 as part of a Heritage Lottery funded First World War memorial project, the original photographs were removed from the plaque and transferred to archives, and copies replaced into the plaque on display in the school, for better preservation of the original archives.
