[According to The Durham Advertiser, 19 July 1965, an eight-man delegation from Central Slovakia was on a six-day visit. The delegation was led by Jan Belovicky and was greeted by the Chairman of Durham County Council, Councillor S. Docking. The delegates were also to visit Peterlee, Durham University and the Miners' Gala on 17 July 1965. The album also contains photographs of the gala, which was visited by George Brown and Harold Wilson]
