Catalogue Description
Records of Trinity United Reformed Church, Bishop AucklandThe Trinity Presbyterian Church was erected in 1865 in South Church Lane. According to Francis Whellan ('History, Topography and Directory of the County Palatine of Durham ...', 1894), the church, for a few years before 1865, held meetings in the town hall. In 1972 the Presbyterian Church of England and Congregationalist churches came together as the United Reformed Church. Trinity URC closed in 2000 and was subsequently demolished
