Catalogue Description

PROMOTION AND MARKETING DEPARTMENT

The Estates Department was responsible for the attraction of industry to the industrial estates until 1981 when a separate Department of Promotion and Marketing was set up, which remained until the beginning of 1984. After this was dissolved, the Industrial Development Officers and Industrial Promotion and Publicity Officers were employed in the Development Department which was an amalgamation of the Estates and Technical Departments.
