Caption on reverse of photograph reads 'Four journalists from East Africa are spending four weeks (16th September-14th October) in the United Kingdom as guests of the Colonial Office, and under arrangements made by the Central Office of Information. They are: Kenya - Mr Mohamed Ahmed Kour, Deputy Chief Sub Editor or "Bazara"; Tanganyika - Mr James Mgaya, Journalist on the New Swahili daily paper, "Ngurumo"; Uganda- Mr Paul Nsibirwa, Programme Assistant, Uganda Broadcasting Service; Zanzibar - Mr Abdul Rahman Mohamed el Hadramy, journalist. They are accompanied by Mr W.H. White, M.B.E. E.D., representing the Colonial Office. During their tour the party visited the Aycliffe Development Corp. Newton Aycliffe, Co. Durham. They were received by Mr J.L. Moore, Secretary. They were given a talk on the planning, construction and development of the New Town, followed by a tour and visits to occupied houses. Here they stopped to talk to a little boy playing in Mills Close.', September 1959
