25 May 1618 (1) Sir Henry Hobart, kt. and baron, Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas and Chancellor to Charles, Prince of Wales; Thomas Murrey, esq., Secretary to the Prince of Wales; Sir James Fullerton, kt.; John Walter, esq., Attorney General to the Prince of Wales; Thomas Trevor, esq., Solicitor General to the Prince of Wales, trustees of the Lordship of the Manor of Brancepeth to the use of the Prince of Wales (2) Charles Hall of the City of Durham, gent. Lease, for 31 years from 25 March 1618, from (1) to (2) of a messuage in Helmedenrawe [Helmington Row] late in the tenure of Elizabeth Comyn Rent: £6 13s. 5d. p.a. Fine: £110 paid 1618; £110 to be paid, 4 July 1618; £110 to be paid, 3 June 1619 Gives details of the acreage of meadow, pasture, and wood; and names of occupiers to be supplied to the Commissioners of Revenue of the Prince of Wales in 1620 and every 10 years thereafter The signatures of the parties have been cut from the document
