These collieries were worked by Walter Scott Ltd., of Grainger Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne from c.1878. The Trimdon Grange manager appears to have been Simon Tate who is the recipient of most of the correspondence and signatory of most copy letters, etc. These papers have been arranged chronologically.
