JOHN BOWRON

John Bowron (7 October 1816 - 30 July 1878) of West Park, Cotherstone, farmer, was the eldest son of Henry Bowron of Bowes, labourer, who married Mary Pratt of Timpton Hill at Brignall, Yorkshire, North Riding on 11 April 1814. John had a younger brother Henry and a sister (? Isabella) who married Thomas Longstaff and was the mother of Mrs. Abigail Holmes.

ISABELLA BOWRON

Isabella Bowron (20 March 1821 - 26 January 1904) was the second and eldest surviving daughter of Edward and Isabella Walton.

MISS JANE BOWRON

Jane Bowron (26 November 1867 - ?) was the youngest child of John and Isabella Bowron of West Park. She was cared for by her mother until 1904 and then by Mrs. Etherington in Lartington (at least until February 1923).

MRS ISABELLA JOPLING (NEE BOWRON)

Isabella Jopling (1 January 1864 - 28 November 1909) was the second daughter of John and Isabella Bowron of West Park. She married William Jopling (son of Joseph Jopling of Victoria Street, Barnard Castle, Registrar of births, marriages and deaths), who immigrated to South Africa (c. 1912). They had one daughter, Margaret Isabel who married Cecil Markham and lived at Limekilns, near Dunfermline.
