Records of Ketton Hall and Estate
The Ketton Estate contains Ketton Hall Farm which was the home of Charles Colling who, in the eighteenth century, developed his famous herd of shorthorn cattle. In 1810 the herd was sold by auction and the forty-seven head averaged the enormous figure of £151 8s 0d. The bull "Comet" made 1,000 guineas.
