Deeds to property at 45, 47, 49 and 51 Parkgate, 1 and 2 Hudsons Yard, and 1-9 Anelay's Yard (formerly Bulmer's Yard), Darlington, 1859 -1972. (Nos. 45, 47, 49 and 51 Parkgate were previously numbered 1, 2(3), 5 and 7 respectively). The area is now known as St. Cuthbert's Way. The property at 45, 47 and 49 Parkgate was owned by the Darlington Corn Mill, Flour and Provision Company, Limited, during the later nineteenth century, until the company went into liquidation. The site was later part of the Parkgate Chemical Works. All the above properties were purchased by Darlington Corporation in the 1960s and the site was sold in 1972 to Skipper of Darlington, garage proprietors, for redevelopment.
