11 May 1802 (1) William Wrightson of Morton Palmes in the parish of Haughton, gent., and Mary, his wife (2) John Jackson of Little Burdon, gent., Thomas Buston of Longnewton, gent., and Robert Clarke of Stockton, gent. Deed of covenant by (1) to levy a fine of a freehold messuage and 4 other messuages lately built nearby, land called Foot Ball Garth, North Bank Close, Middle Bank Close, South Bank Close, North Fall, South Fall, East Fall, Barn Close, Long Field, Rushy Close, Carr Moor, South Carr, a perch near East Moor, and Far East Moor, and a messuage built on Barn Close, in Wolviston; a capital messuage called West Hartburn or Whitehouse in Middleton St. George and land called The Eastfield, Calf Close, Stackgarth Close, Beckfields, Low Field, Barnfields, and the Thistley Field, in West Hartburn in the parish of Middleton St. George; the Oxcloses in Sadberge, and a messuage, garth and paddock on the highway from Darlington to Yarm, in the hamlet of Morton Palmes, parish of Haughton; and a messuage called Newton Grange and 83a. of land in Sadberge, to the use of (1) and (2) in trust for William Wrightson, free from dower
