(FORMERLY THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS UNION
DARLINGTON BRANCH)

The Darlington branch of the League of Nations Union was established (c.1919-1920) by members of the Society of Friends, including Miss Olive Stanton and members of the Pease and Mounsey families. After the establishment of the United Nations, the branch joined the United Nations Association. The branch was closed in 1993 because of difficulty in attracting new members and branch officers.
