7 October 1846 (1) Charles Attwood of Bishop Oak, near Wolsingham, esq. (2) The hon. Francis Baring Humphrey St. John Mildmay, esq.; Joshua Bates, esq.; Thomas Baring, esq.; Charles Baring Young, esq.; all of Bishopsgate Street in the City of London, merchants; constituting the firm of Baring Brothers & Co., London (3) Henry Burgess of St. Swithins Lane, in the City of London, esq. Agreement that the co-partnership of (1), (2) and (3) to work leases of minerals and blast furnace belonging to (1) in Wolsingham and elsewhere in the County of Durham belonging to (1) shall be deemed to have begun on 30 June 1845; all leases and property to be assigned to Joshua Bates and Thomas Baring in trust; (1), (2), and (3) to be co-partners; the co-partnership to be called the Weardale Iron Company; (1) has patent pending Further detailed terms of the partnership scheduled Schedule of property Consideration : £4,200 (2) to (1) for moiety of (1)'s property : (1) and (2) each to contribute £12,000 working capital : (2) to loan £100,000
