Parchment book (rebound) containing a contemporary copy of the orders for the Royal Bedchamber and private lodgings, 1689. This volume almost certainly came to the Londonderrys through the connection with the Duke of Marlborough. It probably belonged originally to Robert Spencer, 2nd Earl of Sunderland (1640-1702) who was Lord Chamberlain in 1697. His descendant, the 7th Duke of Marlborough (1822-1883) married Frances Anne Emily, daughter of the 3rd Marquess of Londonderry and in 1918 the 7th Marquess of Londonderry purchased several items from the collections of Lily, Duchess of Marlborough
