Thomas Harrison Hair (Ref: D/Ph 456)

Thomas Harrison Hair was born c.1910 and produced a series of ink drawings and watercolours of collieries in Northumberland and Durham between 1828 and 1842. In 1839 he published the drawings in his 'Sketches of the Coal Mines in Northumberland and Durham'. This was revised in 1844.
