A letter from the depositor who was a Police Sergeant of the West Midlands Police. He was part of a contingent called upon by Durham Police during the 1984/5 Miners' Strike. This was known as Mutual Aid. He served at Easington for a week in 1985, where his main duty was protecting miners who wished to return to work.
