Catalogue Description

Arthur Smith was stationmaster at Eastgate Station from 1940 -1950. He was married to Dora and had at least two sons, of which the youngest was Robert.

During the Second World War, he was a member of the Weardale War Weapons Week Eastgate Local Committee.
