Catalogue Description

These records were transferred from Cumbria Archives Service.

The location of most slides is not identified, but two items (D/Ph 508/1 and D/Ph 508/2) are linked to Thornley and Pelton respectively, so the other slides may well link to one of these locations.

The collection was compiled by Robert Johnson, a chartered mechanical engineer for the Northern Regional Health Authority in Newcastle, who was also a member of an unspecified local history society and gave illustrated talks. He died in 2007.
