About this Parish

(1842-1998)

Newbottle St. Matthew was created in 1865 from Houghton-le-Spring St. Michael and All Angels.

Parts of this parish became part of these parishes: Chilton Moor St. Andrew, Herrington St. Aidan, Shiney Row St. Oswald.
