The Reverend Ernest Isaac Frost, 1867 - 1945

After theological training at Hatfield Hall, Durham, he served as curate in Tudhoe (1895-1897), Northallerton (1897-1900) and Barnard Castle (1900-1904). He became vicar of Bowes (1904-1906). He relinquished his appointment owing to ill health and under the patronage of Lord Leconfield (later the Earl of Egremont) moved to the south coast where he was senior curate at Petworth (1906-1910), chaplain of Steyning (1910-1913), rector of Kingston by Sea (1910-1921) and vicar of Pulborough (1921-1944).

Illuminated address, including a photograph of Tudhoe Iron Church, to the Rev. E.I. Frost from the teachers of the Tudhoe Iron Church Sunday School in appreciation of his work in the church and sunday school during the previous two years (when he was curate), 20 December 1897

Illuminated address, presented to the Rev. Ernest I. Frost by the congregation of All Saints' Church, Northallerton, as appreciation of his three years service as curate; the address was designed by J.E. Morton of York and includes colour drawings of the church, October 1900

Illuminated address to the Rev. Ernest I. Frost, vicar of Bowes, from the parishoners of Bowes and Gilmonby, thanking him for his work and regretting his ill health which had caused his departure from Bowes, also expressing hope that his health would improve; the illumination includes paintings of Mr. Frost, views of Bowes church, school and village, including the castle, painted by Skeldon Longbottom, 1906
