Catalogue Description
William Saint started at Elemore Colliery as an apprentice fitter in 1958, worked until the closure in 1974 and transferred to Murton Colliery until its closure in 1985. His father, William Saint, started work at Hazard Colliery in 1915, and on its closure, c. 1934, moved to Elemore Colliery, retiring in 1966. His uncle, Joseph Saint, worked at Hazard, Elemore, and Philadelphia collieries. His grandfather worked at Moorsley Colliery.Catalogue Contents
