Catalogue Description
This collection was contained in the Spence family Bible, of which the pages containing biographical information have been retained (D/X 1936/1). The information refers to Hugh and Mary Ann Spence and their children. There are also two postcards from Tom (possibly Thomas Henry Spence) to his sister Nancy, who married Frederick Cooper in 1917. The third postcard is to their son George from his own son Mike.
The press cuttings relate mostly to Hugh Spence and his retirement work as a cartwright.
