Developments (Ref: Du 1/67-68)The Kinema, Meadowfield (Ref: Du 1/67/1-3)

A cinema was reopened in the Co-operative Hall, Meadowfield, Brandon and Byshottles, on 29 September 1913. It closed in 1917, but was again in operation in 1924 and was known as the Kinema. It closed on 16 July 1961. The Co-operative Hall later became offices of Brandon and Byshottles District Council, and, later, Durham City Council.
