Catalogue Description
According to the Consett Chronicle (27 July 1967), the Victoria Club in Stanley was considered the most modern club in the county. It was built at the cost of £ 3551 17s. In 1911 the Club purchased 20 stones of beef and 18 gross of clay pipes for the Christmas Eve party. Whisky was sold at 4d per glass and beer 3d per pint.Catalogue Contents
