Catalogue Description
The parish and benefice of Horsley Hill, St Lawrence the Martyr originated as a mission church in the parish of Harton, St Peter, first dedicated on 14 June 1941. In 1984 it became a Conventional District, as 'Harton, St Lawrence', and was created a parish on 1 January 1991.The old mission church was demolished in April 1971 and the church hall, which replaced it, opened its doors on 4 November the same year. The new church of St Lawrence the Martyr, Horsley Hill was dedicated on 15 December 1990.
