Warneford, V.C., of the Royal Flying Corps, in uniform, in front of his plane, 1915 Lieutenant Warneford won his Victoria Cross in 1915 when he attacked and destroyed a German Zeppelin. The photograph was taken by F.N. Birkett, 27 Percy Road, Shepherd's Bush, London, and presented to the parish by Lieutenant Warneford's mother, 2 July 1915
