- Darlington, Arthur Pease School
Catalogue Description
Darlington, Arthur Pease SchoolSchool built in 1889 by the British and Foreign Bible Society as a practising school for Darlington Training College. The school continued to belong to the Society but the cost of running it was taken over by the Council in 1904. When new school premises were required the Society could not afford to build a new school, and the pupils transferred to Darlington, Abbey Junior School in 1957 and Darlington, Abbey Infants' school in 1965.
