These records relate to Samuel Henshall (23 December 1899 - 1967), the youngest son of James and Angelina Henshall of 2 Twizel Lane, Beamish.
Samuel married, in 1924, Laura Brown (21 January 1900 - 1983), and they had a daughter, Muriel, born in 1925.
Samuel Henshall worked as a bus driver, first, in 1917, for a family-run omnibus service operating between Stanley, Chester-le-Street and Newcastle upon Tyne, and later, from 1930, for the Northern General Transport Company. He retired in 1965.
After his marriage, Samuel Henshall lived at Birtley, and later Chester-le-Street.
